Highbury Fields stabbing: Murder investigation after 15-year-old boy stabbed to death in Islington

The teenager, believed to be 15 years old, was found with fatal stab wounds, metres away from some of the most expensive streets in London.

A murder investigation has been launched after a 15-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Islington, north London.

Met Police officers were called to Highbury Fields, just before 9pm on Thursday, August 4, to reports of a stabbing.

The force attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS).

And the teenager, believed to be 15 years old, was found with stab wounds, just metres away from some of the most expensive streets in London.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where he died a short time later.

Enquiries are ongoing to inform the boy’s next of kin, and a crime scene has been set up.

A Met spokesperson said: “There have been no arrests and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

“Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime have been informed.”
