Man found stabbed to death in Whetstone - 35-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder

A 35-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found at a house in Barnet with fatal stab injuries.

Paramedics discovered the man, in his 30s, who had been knifed multiple times, still alive at a residential property off the High Road, in Whetstone, at 2.45am .

Police officers scrambled to the scene, however despite the help of emergency services the man died at 3.12am.

Detectives arrested a 35-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of murder and he was taken to a north London hospital.

Scotland Yard said next of kin are yet to be informed and formal identification has not taken place.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command have been informed and launched a murder investigation.
