A man has died of a “neck injury” at the scene of a fight in north London in the early hours of this morning.

Police and paramedics were called at 4.05am, on Friday, May 27, to reports of a fight in Ballards Lane, West Finchley.

A man was found with a neck injury and died at the scene.

He is yet to be identified by officers.

One Twitter user described the scene, saying: “Serious police incident, North Finchley High Road closed both ways!”

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and a crime scene remains in place.

“The death is being treated as suspicious and detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.

“No arrests have been made.”
