Hornchurch stabbing: Man charged with attempted murder after knife attack outside east London pub

A 23-year-old man was stabbed several times in the pub garden of the Fatling, in Hornchurch, at around midnight on July 23.

Philip Kemps, 29, of Redbridge, was charged on July 26 and will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on January 9, 2023.

Kemps was charged after a 23-year-old man, drinking at the Fatling Pub, High Street, Hornchurch, was stabbed multiple times at around midnight on July 23.

He was found by officers on patrol and rushed to an east London hospital, where his injuries were assessed to be non-life threatening.

A statement from the Met police said: “We are aware that a video of the incident has been shared on social media.

“Following this charge, we would remind the public that nothing should be shared, posted or otherwise published that could risk prejudicing future court proceedings.

“This includes any further sharing of video or images relating to the incident.”
