Eltham murder: Man stabbed to death outside nursery in Greenwich

A man - believed to be in his early 20s - has been stabbed to death in a brutal attack outside a nursery in Eltham.
Scotland Yard’s Murder Squad has launched an investigation into the killing, which is the second fatal stabbing in London this week.

Hide AdEmergency services were called to Lionel Road, in Eltham, Greenwich, at 5.11pm last night, to reports of a stabbing.
A man was found with knife wounds opposite the Bright Horizons Nursery and Preschool.
The victim was rushed to an east London hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Hide AdHis next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “At this early stage there have been no arrests but an investigation is under way.
“A crime scene is in place at the scene of the incident and is likely to remain so for some time.”
