Two men have been arrested after a fatal stabbing in southeast London.

Police were called at around 10.35pm on Thursday June 6 to reports of a stabbing in Carteret Way, Deptford.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended but despite their best efforts the victim, a man believed aged in his 20s, died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

Two males have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody, the Met Police said.

A crime scene remains in place.
