Seb Dance, deputy mayor for Transport, said: “Green spaces and sustainable gardening play a huge role in offsetting the impacts of the climate crisis, and they can also brighten up everyone’s day.

“This garden is being funded by the Mayor and represents just one of the ways he is helping to build a better, greener London for everyone.”

“Working with sustainable design and local communities is something we are both passionate about so we are extremely happy to be teaming up with Energy Garden and TfL to rebuild the garden at a permanent site for people to enjoy.”

Cllr Emma Will, lead member for community safety, culture and leisure, said: “We are all about creating Amazing Spaces across Kensington and Chelsea, whether that’s on our streets, in tube stations or parks.

“This is a fantastic initiative by Energy Garden, bringing a little piece of Chelsea Flower Show to Latimer Road all year round for everyone to enjoy. “

This project is funded by the Mayor of London’s Future Neighbourhoods 2030 programme and will be maintained as part of the Energy Garden network.

TfL and Energy Garden have teamed up to access some trackside spaces so that local community groups can create beautiful green spaces on London’s railways.
