Boy, 5, fighting for his life after crash with car while riding his scooter in Wandsworth

Police found the boy, who had been seriously injured, and rushed him to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

A five-year-old boy has been left in a critical condition in hospital after a collision with a car while he was riding a child’s scooter.

Police and paramedics raced to Herondale Avenue, in Wandsworth, on Tuesday, May 24, at just before 4pm, after reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a car.

They found the boy, who had been seriously injured, and rushed him to hospital, where he remains there in a critical condition.

His parents are with him.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.

There have been no arrests.

Met Police officers are now appealing for any witnesses to the incident.

Detectives from the Met’s Roads & Transport Policing Command are investigating and would like to hear from any witnesses or drivers with dash cam footage of the incident.
