Backstreet Boys’ member Nick Carter bravely took to the stage on Sunday evening (November 6) at London’s The O2, a mere 24 hours after the death of his younger brother Nick Carter. Though there was talk of the show being cancelled due to the bereavement, the iconic boy-band decided to soldier on for their London fans.

But it was all too much to bear at one point for Nick Carter, 42, when the band started performing their hit Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely, which prompted Nick Carter to erupt in tears on stage during his spotlight moment in the song. Carter was unable to finish his verse

Carter was consoled by his bandmates as he took a moment off to the side of the stage, as band member Kevin Richardson informed the crowd: “Tonight we’ve got heavy hearts, because we lost one of our family members yesterday. We just wanted to find a moment in our show to recognize him. He’s a part of our family and we thank you guys for all your love and support.”

Aaron Carter was found dead at his home in California on Saturday afternoon US Time. His body was found in a bath in his California residency as representatives confirmed the performer’s death, the Press Association reports. TMZ were notified at 6pm GMT on Saturday (November 5) that Los Angeles County Police arrived at the scene after reports of a drowning.

Shortly afterwards, the gossip website broke the news that Carter had drowned in his bathtub with representatives of the late singer issuing a response regarding the news. Carter is survived by his young son Prince and his child’s mother Melanie Martin, who in a statement said she was "still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated”
