For Sale in London: former Arsenal chairman’s £11.9 million property in sought after London address on market

It’s one of the most sought after postcodes in London, and this weekend those with a lot of money can look to bid on a five bedroom Mayfair house for the low price of a mere £11.95 million. The house, nestled between Mount Street and Grosvenor Square, had been owned previously by former Arsenal vice chairman and co-owner David Dein and has been furnished to tailor to the busy executive in all of us.

The house is fitted with five separate bathrooms for each bedroom, a steam room, a private terrace, a wine display, cinema room and an integrated sound system throughout the house. The dining room itself has a retractable skylight offering the choice of inside or al fresco dining and the recent owners have fitted a pizza oven for those nights at home in front of the cinema screen.

Despite all the modern cons the house offers, estate agent Charlie Gibson from agents Oliver Bernard Private remarked that the oven in particular was something “I have never seen in a Mayfair house. The owner is also a huge gardening fan, so she has created a living wall which is such a great feature.”

With parking an issue in London, the Mayfair house has solved that issue with space for one vehicle on the street and a garage with a car stacker for two additional cars in the exclusive area. “You’ve only got three streets with mews houses in Mayfair,” Charlie Gibson explains to the lucrative nature of the area, “so if you get internationals who like mews houses, which a lot of them do as they are so quintessentially English, you’ve only got a few places in Mayfair you can get them.”

The interior design was meant to give the property an open plan Los Angeles feel within its 3,927sq foot floor space but thankfully the outside features remain the same as they had been when the properties were built, retaining its original British architectural roots.
