@eatingwithtod BEST OF LONDON GUIDE FOR UNDER £20 London can be very expensive, but you can find some amazing eats and not break the bank! 1. @dishoom - a known restaurant but their breakfasts remain my favourite. That wrestlers naan wrap just hits differently. 2. @schnitzelheaven - £12 for their huge veal schnitzel will fill you up for the whole day and it’s the best schnitzel I’ve ever had (admittedly I haven’t tried many but this was incredible) 3. @fortitudebakehouse - still remains by favourite bakery for the second year running, you will not have a bad pasty here, everything is 10/10 4. @thewhitecrosspub - known as the pub that floods during high tide. Make sure you check the tide times before you visit as it only happens a couple times a week but it’s super fun! 5. @noodleinnuk_ - I can’t believe how crazy this went. The reel posted earlier in the year received over 15m views and now there is a constant queue down the street. 6. @beigel_bake - still the best cheap eat in London, the fact you can get these beigels 24/7 is nuts. 7. @hotbirdldn - one of the cheapest fried chicken sandwiches in the big smoke and everything is served fresh to order. So good. 8. @theboringburger was the best burger I ate for the whole of last year. Jamie makes everything from scratch, from the burger buns, to the cutting of the chips and even all the sauces (he makes the mayo from scratch too! Who’s ready for part 3 of my guide to London series If you can’t take a date, take a mate! 1. Dishoom

Dishoom is a chain with its roots in Bombay. The restaurant has venues across the city including Kings Cross, Covent Garden and Shoreditch.

Tod recommends heading there for the Wrestlers Naan Breakfast Wrap.

Costing £13.50, it contains an entire Full English Breakfast wrapped inside naan bread and finished with chilli jam. The wrap can also be dipped in masala beans.

2. Schnitzel Heaven

You’d better be hungry (and wearing stretchy trousers) because Schnitzel Heaven serves some of the biggest schnitzels we’ve ever seen.

For £12, you can enjoy a schnitzel which Tod described as “big as his torso”.

Where: 57 Pitfield St, London N1 6BU

3. Fortitude Bakehouse

All that savoury needs something sweet, and nothing beats a chocolate-covered beignet.

For just £4.50 you can indulge in an enormous chocolate-dipped, cream-filled beignet.

Tod said it will “give you a mouthgasm”.

Where: 35 Colonnade, London WC1N 1JD

4. The Pub That Floods

Otherwise known as the White Cross in Richmond, the Pub That Floods, went viral several times last year.

The pub garden floods with the tide of The Thames, creating a giant game of the floor is lava for customers.

Punters have to wear wellies but can dine outside in the flood water. Plus it’s only £6.50 for a pint of Guinness.

Tod says it’s great for people-watching.

Where: Riverside House, Water Ln, Richmond TW9 1NR

5. Noodle Inn

Noodle Inn was the talk of the town last year, with foodies queueing out the door and down the street to taste the thick noodles and meaty sauce.

Tod said he was ‘blown away by the oil spill, beef short rib wide noodles’, so we had to try them for ourselves.

This dish costs just £15.50 and will keep you full, for the rest of the day, maybe a week.

Where: 4-6 Old Compton St, London W1D 4TA

6. Beigel Bake

This London staple is open 24/7 and is pretty much the gospel when it comes to cheap eats in the capital.

A stacked and delicious salt beef bagel will only set you back £5.50. That’s pretty much the same as a meal deal these days!

Beigel Bake was founded in the 1800s and has kept Londoners fed every day since.

Where: 159 Brick Ln, London E1 6SB

7. Hot Bird

Another honourable mention on Tod’s list of top London cheap eats include Hot Bird in Hounslow, which serves epic fried chicken sandwiches for £6.50.

The sandwiches are stacked and spicy, perfect for a delicious lunchtime treat.

Where: Market Place, High St, Hounslow TW3 1EF

The Boring Burger in Guildford also gets an honourable mention from Tod, which he says serves the best burger of the year for just £14. Might be worth the train fair?
