Is there ever a bad time to order McDonalds? The jury might be out regarding that matter, but for those in London who just cannot live without a Big Mac or McFlurry over the festive period, you might be wondering if your local Golden Arches is open over three pivotal days in December.

Those three dates happen to be Christmas Eve, to rest up ahead of Christmas Day cooking, Christmas Day in the event Christmas dinner goes to pot and Boxing Day, because there’s only so much you can do with a leftover sprout.

As 93% of McDonald’s stores are franchises independently owned (McDonalds own the land, if The Believer taught viewers anything), it means that some stores in London will remain open on Boxing Day, while others may look to give their employees an extra day off, which we are sure they’ll be loving it.
