Grant Thornton UK LLP has welcomed seven new joiners to its South East team, as part of the leading business and financial adviser's nationwide intake of 300 new trainees.

The new starters, a mix of graduates and school leavers, will join various departments across the Gatwick-based business, including audit and tax.

Gaurav Mehta, 22-year-old Audit Associate who joined Grant Thornton’s Gatwick office this year, said: “The main things which attracted me to Grant Thornton were the firm's core values and the people who work here. Having done a 12-month placement from September 2022 to September 2023, I had the privilege to meet most of my colleagues who made my experience very enjoyable. My objective is to become ACA qualified within three years to be a fully qualified chartered accountant.”

Harrison White, a 20-year-old Audit Associate who recently started with Grant Thornton’s South East team, said: “I was attracted to Grant Thornton through a friend’s recommendation, who mentioned how much they loved it.

"It's a big company with a lot of opportunities and networking potential. I've always been interested in finance and wanted to work with some type of money market to help others but also teach myself how to handle my own finances going forward.”
