Glaziers Hall, the Livery building and events venue situated on the South Bank in London, has announced it has successfully passed audits of its ISO 14001 and 9001 certifications.

Having secured both the ISO 14001 Environmental standard and ISO 9001 Quality Management at the end of February 2024, the audits ensure that all necessary measures are continuing to be met and that the standards can be retained.

Confirming the venue, which is used for corporate events and weddings, has all necessary processes in place, the ISO certifications provide clients with the reassurance that it meets with the highest of standards.

Managing Director of Glaziers Hall, Will Simmonds, comments: “These audits are a good way for us to review our processes and to continue to improve across all measures. It also gives our clients further assurance that we are meeting these standards and that this is verified by an independent third party.

“It’s thanks to the hard work of the team that we have retained these certifications following our first audits. It is a further step to reiterating the commitment we have to the environment and also to our quality management.

“As a venue that works with clients to deliver a year-round schedule of corporate events and weddings, we know that these certifications are more than just a piece of paper. They are a testament to the standards we want to meet and to exceed.”

With a focus on continuous improvement, recent investments of more than £200k were made to replace the inefficient electric chiller units and old gas boilers at the venue with heat pumps.

As a result, Glaziers Hall has delivered electric efficiency improvements of around 30 per cent and gas reduction of 50 per cent each year.

In addition, 10k projectors and new spotlighting were installed in the Banqueting Suite, while a bespoke stained-glass archway was commissioned for the entrance of the space.

As well as making the room brighter and lighter, these improvements support the customer experience and complement the AV systems and WIFI capability that were already in place.

The wooden floors throughout the building have also been restored, with plans to update the washrooms in the building this summer. Fundamentally, renovations will include selected products to improve sustainability through low power and water usage.

A versatile space, the venue is a regular choice for companies that want to host meetings, networking sessions, product launches, press events, awards ceremonies, AGMs, formal dinners, wine tastings, seasonal launches and hybrid meetings.

With a team of event professionals, the venue has worked with some of the UK’s largest brands, delivering successful events that leave a lasting impression. For further details, please visit the website.
