La Traviata will be conducted by Alexander Joel and Richard Hetherington, featuring two outstanding international casts: Francesco Demuro and Ismael Jordi as Alfredo Germont, with George Petean and Simon Keenlyside as Giorgio Germont. Barnaby Rea will take on the role of Doctor Grenvil in both casts.
The production boasts lavish designs by Bob Crowley and lighting by Jean Kalman, bringing Verdi’s timeless tragedy to life in a spectacle of seductive grandeur.

Hide AdGarifullina is a regular guest at major opera houses and concert venues worldwide, including Covent Garden, La Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Paris Opera, Arena di Verona, and the Salzburg Festival.
She has performed at globally significant events such as the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the 2018 Concert de Paris for Bastille Day, Proms in the Park, and 50 Years of Placido Domingo in Salzburg, as well as Andrea Bocelli’s 30th Celebration in Tuscany.
Her artistic range and mainstream appeal have been showcased in appearances like the Oscar-nominated Florence Foster Jenkins and the 2018 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony with Robbie Williams.
Aida Garifullina’s return to Covent Garden in La traviata will be followed by leading roles as Juliette in Gounod's Romeo et Juliette in Berlin and Tatyana in Eugene Onegin at La Scala.
As Violetta, Garifullina will perform some of opera’s most beloved arias, including "Ah, fors’è lui" and "Sempre libera", bringing her signature emotional depth and technical mastery to the role.
