New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Sutton’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

India Cottage, at 691 London Road, North Cheam, Sutton was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 13.

And Beeches Cafe, at 50 Banstead Road, Carshalton was given a score of two on January 13.

It means that of Sutton's 286 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 204 (71%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
