Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 11 Richmond establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 11 of Richmond’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to nine restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Cafe Pagoda at 113 North Road, Kew; rated on May 2

• Rated 5: Caffe Al Fresco at 459a Upper Richmond Road West, East Sheen, London; rated on May 2

• Rated 5: Faanoo's Restaurant at 481 Upper Richmond Road West, East Sheen, London; rated on May 2

• Rated 5: Mamma Mia at 459 Upper Richmond Road West, East Sheen, London; rated on May 2

• Rated 5: Scott`s Richmond at 4 Whittaker Avenue, Richmond; rated on April 28

• Rated 5: Harris and Hoole at 24 King Street, Twickenham; rated on April 27

• Rated 5: Pendora Sweets at TW2 ; rated on April 27

• Rated 5: Costa Coffee at Kew Retail Park, 1-7 Bessant Drive, Richmond; rated on April 26

• Rated 5: Le Salon Prive at 43 Crown Road, Twickenham; rated on April 21
