Road closures: almost a dozen for Hillingdon drivers this week

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M4, from 10.30pm March 19 to 5.30am March 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4a to junction 4, Lane closures for installation of emergency refuge sign works.

• M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M25, from 10pm March 20 to 5.30am March 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to M25, junction 15, link road closures and lane closures for resurfacing works, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M4, from 10pm March 20 to 5am March 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound and westbound, junction 4, Lane closures for asset inspections.

• M40, from 10pm March 22 to 5am March 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 1 to junction 1a, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• M25, from 10pm March 23 to 5am March 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 14 to junction 13, Lane closures for electrical work.

• M25, from 10pm March 27 to 5.30am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 16 to junction 15, Lane closures for embankment and pavement works.

• M4, from 10pm March 29 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, Lane closures for M4 SMP works.

• M25, from 10.30pm April 2 to 5.30am April 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15 to M4 westbound, junction 4B, Lane closure and link road closure for M4 SMP road for technology works, diversion via National Highways roads.

• A40, from 10pm April 3 to 6am April 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 northbound, junction A40 to junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
