Road closures: nine for Barnet drivers this week

Drivers in and around Barnet will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M1, from 11pm March 10 to 5am March 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 4 to junction 1, carriageway closure, entry slip road closure and lane closures for maintenance works, diversion via TFL roads.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M1, from 10pm March 13 to 5am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm March 15 to 5am March 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 2 to junction 1, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm March 15 to 5am March 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 4, carriageway and slip road closure, diversion via TFL roads.

• M1, from 10pm March 16 to 5am March 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 3 to junction 1, Lane closure for electrical works.

• M1, from 10pm March 18 to 5.30am March 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction London Gateway Services, carriageway closure and entry slip road closure for waterproofing investigations, diversion via TFL roads.

• M1, from 10.30pm March 19 to 5.30am March 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for defect works.

• M1, from 10pm March 20 to 5.30am March 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for communication works.

• M1, from 10.30pm March 26 to 5.30am March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 2, Lane closures for structure inspections.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
