HEYTEA London cheese tea: We tried some of the chain’s famous cheese fruit brews

Following the opening of their new store in the capital at the start of August, LondonWorld headed to HEYTEA’s new Soho store to try their popular cheese drinks.

The Chinese tea drink chain has finally arrived in the UK. Based in the heart of London’s Soho on the iconic Shaftesbury Avenue, the store marks the first store to open outside of Asia.

In particular, HEYTEA is known for its cheese brew-themed beverages, which have become a phenomenon across China in recent years. Its signature drink essentially sees fruit tea topped with a layer of frothy cheese-type creamer.

While the combination of cheese and tea may sound odd to some, the two come together surprisingly well. Both the fruit tea and the creamy cheese make a sweet dessert-like taste similar to a cheesecake.

We tried both the Very Grape Cheese and Very Strawberry Cheese drinks, with the HEYTEA menu also offering a few more fruity cheese beverages, including Strawberry Peach and Mango blends.

For those unsure on what flavour to try, one of the HEYTEA team revealed that their best-selling cheese beverage was the Very Grape drink. We also really enjoyed the Strawberry flavour and would also recommend tea lovers to try it.
