West Ham United will take on Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday in the Hammers’ first game since the international break. But how many of their key players will be fit to play?
As things stand, West Ham have three players who are doubts for the game at the weekend. Two of them are very unlikely to feature, while the other has a slight chance of making it - they will all undergo late fitness tests before kick off.
The last time the two teams came to blows, the spoils were shared in a 1-1 draw. Will we see a victor in the 2023/24 season - or will another stalemate be on the cards?
1. Lukasz Fabianski
Lukasz Fabianski is a major doubt for the game against Villa, as he continues on the road to recovery - as he has been largely usurped by Alphonse Areola, it’s likely he’ll miss out once again.
2. Ben Johnson
Ben Johnson is progressing well with his recovery process, but he won’t be available for the game against Villa.
3. Aaron Cresswell
Aaron Cresswell has been out of action since September - like Johnson, the game against Villa will come too soon for him.
4. Tyrone Mings
Tyrone Mings was stretchered off in his last game - he still has a while to go in his recovery.
