Nottingham Forest vs Spurs promises to be an entertaining game but both teams have key men out through injury.

Nottingham Forest will host Spurs at the City ground in what will be the penultimate before the international break for the World Cup. It’s been a tough start to life in the Premier League for Forest but the Carabao Cup could be the desired distraction they need at the moment.

Spurs themselves come into the game on the back of a painful 2-1 defeat to Liverpool and the Lillywhites can count themselves unlucky for the defeat as they were relentless in the second half and should have at least grabbed a point in the end.

Both Spurs and Forest will hope that they are able to return to winning ways with both teams missing key players through injury. Three Tottenham players have been ruled out including the irreplaceable Son Heung-min, Brazil striker Richarlison and tough tackling defender Cristian Romero.

There is however good news with Dejan Kulusevski returning over the weekend, he played a key role in Kane’s goal, his first game since the last international break and he would be set for more game time to boost his confidence. Pape Sarr who was on the bench against Liverpool will hope to make his debut too.

Steve Cooper also has injury worries with Omar Richards, Harry Toffolo, Giulian Biancone, Jack Colback and Moussa Niakhate all still on the treatment table. Forest defied all odds to qualify to the Premier League and given how they have struggled since, the Cup could be the escape they need to get going again.
