Chelsea’s injury list has been stretched by two players with Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi both ruled out of the game against Tottenham tomorrow night.
Axel Disasi has had only two injuries all his career before joining Chelsea but he’s suffered two in the last two weeks in west London, while Thiago Silva who announced he’d be leaving the club after this season picked up a groin problem in the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.
Both will now add to a long list which includes the likes of Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Christopher Nkunku. Levi Colwill who started the season playing at Left-back has been battling a toe problem and even though he’s been back in partial training will still miss the derby against Tottenham.
The injuries will mean youngster Alfie Gilchrist who started and struggled against Arsenal will likely start against Tottenham with manager Mauricio Pochettino looking for all three points against his former side.
Spurs have struggled at Stamford Bridge recently, the last time they won there was back in 2018 when Pochettino was still their manager so this is one of the games they normally don't like playing.
The Lilywhites are desperate for three points that will breathe life into their campaign having lost back-to-back games against Newcastle and Arsenal. Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou saw his unbeaten start to the season ended by Chelsea so he'll be keen to get one over his rival and boost their Champions League chances.
But Chelsea have their own European ambitions, so to get all three points, this is the team Pochettino is likely to name.

He would have been delighted to have kept back-to-back clean sheets.
2. Trevoh Chalobah
Made a massive difference playing at the heart of defence or as a full back.
3. Marc Cucurella
He's just been unreal lately.
