Arsenal could miss out on a transfer target to London rivals - but they're also in pursuit of a highly-rated wonderkid.

The January transfer window is now just a over a month away from swinging its doors open. Premier League clubs will be working feverishly to designate ways they can improve their squads - and Arsenal are no exception to this, as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster the Gunners' title charge.

Arsenal have long been linked with a 22-year-old Brazilian prodigy - but they could miss out on him, as a rival club in London has begun to circle the waters. Additionally, it was recently revealed that the Gunners put forth an offer for a Brazilian starboy - however, their bid was rejected by the player's current club.

Arsenal could miss out on Andre to Fulham

Arsenal have been in pursuit of Andre, who currently plays for Fluminese, for a considerable amount of time. However, according to a report from TEAMtalk, Fulham are closing in on a deal for the player instead.

Fulham certainly are no slouches on the financial side of things - additionally, they may be able to give Andre more playing time than the Gunners would. Liverpool are also interested in his services - the Cottagers are 'hoping' that neither Arsenal or the Reds will hijack the deal.

Gunners interested in Ousmane Diomande

Arsenal, along with a slew of other high-profile clubs, have been linked with a move for Sporting CP's Ousmane Diomande. Recently, Portuguese outlet Record revealed that the Gunners previously submitted a bid of around £30 million for the player, but this was rejected.

While this effort to snap Diomande up ended in failure, Record believes it is 'guaranteed' that Arsenal will make another attempt to bring him to North London in 2024. It is currently unclear whether they will make a move for him in January or the summer as things stand.

Diomande has a release clause of £69 million in his contract. While Arsenal may not have to activate this to seal a deal, it's unlikely that Sporting will let him go for much less than this price.
