Ali Abucar Ali: Met Police search for key witnesses to fatal stabbing in Brentford

Police are hunting for two key eyewitnesses to the fatal stabbing of a heroic man - who saved an elderly woman’s life - in Brentford.
Detectives investigating the killing of Ali Abucar Ali are searching for two men described as significant witnesses.

Hide AdAli, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 82-year-old woman, Betty Walsh, was taken to hospital and has since been discharged with non life-threatening injuries.
Officers have now released CCTV of two men who may have witnessed the attacks.

Hide AdThe first man is described as white, with ginger hair and black glasses, and was wearing a long grey coat, shorts and trainers.
He was walking along Wilkes Road towards Albany Road before the incident, and carrying what looks like a takeaway bag.
While the second man was walking up Albany Road toward Brook Road South just prior to the incident, and is described as white, with light hair, thick framed glasses and a rucksack.
DCI Brian Howie, from the Met Police, said: “We are really keen to speak to the men in the CCTV images as we believe they are significant witnesses in the murder of Ali Abucar Ali and the attempted murder of an 82-year-old woman.
